When we got in language we had to take out our homework then read so Ms.Booth can check if we did our homework. Ms.Booth did tell us our AR points. We read "Tiger Rising" and answer questions on the "Tiger Rising" packet. We did the questions for "Tiger Rising". Then we went to the library to get a book. We went to snack to eat our food. We finished the question in the packet for "Tiger Rising". The teacher was explaining the homework tonight and she did pass the homework out to everyone. Ms.Booth was telling all the homework today. We are preparing so we can go to math. Ms.Booth was telling us to get more point for AR. Ms.Booth was dismissing us to go to math.

Math
When kids came into language class, we got out our homework and turned it in because there was no time to check every ones homework at that moment. Then we read for a few minutes. My book is really interesting. I would prescribe this book to girls that never give up and to follow their. After reading we  got privacy carols and took our spelling test. If you studied it would have been super duper easy. Then after the spelling test, we worked on our person that we are studying. I am studying Malala Yousafzai.

Then when we came back from snack, Ms. Booth collected a paper that we wrote about our person's growth mindset. I edited and it was fun. Then we started to read and then we were done with class. We  switched to Math class.

Language Arts
The first thing we did in class today was read. Then we checked homework. We got assigned our homework after. Then we read the third chapter of tiger rising . Finally we finally we finished ELA with working on our outline.

Math
When kids started to walk into class, we sit down and do our warm up. The warm up looked challenging. Once I did the work, it was super duper easy. The common core quick check was very easy as well. We all corrected it and the book said that the answer for one of the problems were 23,160 R10, when the answer should be 3,160 R10. We found the mistake and the editors for this website need to edit it .I cannot believe that the editors didn't catch that silly mistake!

Then we took our timed test. I got all of them right. My score was 20/20,in other words 100%. We put every thing away and then we got our homework and corrected it. It took maybe took 10-20 minutes .Then we went into our math books and worked the rest of the time until lunch. Then we went to lunch. When we came back, we went back to work and later, Ms. Booth asked if we wanted to switch our passwords for Scoot pad. Someone has been going into other people's accounts and wasting their coins or changing their profile picture . People have been telling me that their account has been broken into, so she gave us an opportunity to change our password.

Then we switched to social studies and science. Math was very fun today, and it wouldn't be possible without Ms. Booth.

Language Arts

In the beginning of language we started with art. We drew The Scream and used pastel to color it. Then everyone got wipes to wipe there hands and baby wipes to wipe our hands to clean them so everyone doesn't have to go to sink and make crow. After we sat down and waited to get dismissed to go to recess.
After recess we corrected and edited our Scream poem . The people that did not finish did not correct instead they were finishing there poem . The thing we corrected were The title and incorrect spelling. At the end of language we cleaned up our table and  packed up and sat down to get dismissed.

First we came in and read our books while Ms. Booth checked our homework. Then we corrected our homework. Soon after we worked on our Tom Sawyer book. We then had to fill out a worksheet called key event and summary chart. A little later we had to fill out a chart called syllables chart. Then we had to edit our introduction of our growth mind set sheet. Ms. Booth gave us advice and we had to fix our introduction or our thesis statement. And last we went to math.

Math
Today in math, we put our stuff on our desks and got laptops. It was time for our Chapter 3 Assessment test. There were 18 questions, and they all were division. When everyone was done, we could read our book or do our math project. Finally, Mrs. Booth gave us our Check My Progress quiz and we switched to Science and Social Studies.

Language Arts
In Language Arts, when it was time to switch everyone sat down in their seat and took out their homework. When Ms. Booth looked at all of the homework we started to talk about our famous people. For example, we talked about Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, etc. She said we were going to start our introduction today, but before that we all took out our chromebooks and went on a website called clever.com. We were going to take a test, but the people that aren't in Ms. Booth's homeroom couldn't log in so we decided not it do it. After everyone got off the website, Ms. Booth said to research the famous people one more time to find quotes. When everyone was done, we put the chrome books away. After we put them away, we watched a couple of brain pop videos about Albert Einstein. Then, we all went out for snack. When we got back from snack, it was time to switch to math.

Math
First thing we in class was our warm up (Problem of the Day and  Common Core Quick Check). Then Ms. Booth handed out our timed test for the next two days (doubled-sided). We corrected our warm-up and last night's homework (Interpret the Remainder My Homework Lesson 11 and a Multiplication and Division Worksheet, use CUBES). Then, we took our timed test (1 minute, 20 questions). We took out our math workbook to learn Lesson 12 (Independent Practice and Problem Solving). Lesson 12 was about interpreting remainders.

Then we toe out our homework and Ms. Booth handed out our Multiplication Review (1 sided&Homework). Use CUBES!

Language Arts
In the morning when I came into Language Arts we read for 30 minutes. When we were done reading, we took out our MacBooks out. It took a long time until I got my Macbook because I am number 27 and there are about 32 students in the class. Then we logged into Clever.com to take our comprehension test. The comprehension test had 8 questions and was not that difficult in my opinion. After we finished the test, we read until everybody finished. I read "Nancy's Mysterious Letter" and I took my AR test on it. Finally, we read from our "Developing Character's Relationships" book and took notes on "Tom's Secret".

Math
Today in math class we did our warm up (Problem of the Day and 3 questions of Common Core Quick Check).  Then we did our multiplication timed test for 1 minute 🕒. We corrected it and turned it in. Then we did our lesson in our math book. It was about how did you interpret the remainder again😀.
We used CUBES for the word problems. We had to tell how we interpreted the remainder. When we finished we either did the performance task or the number theory project. That is what we did for the day in math class.

MY PERSON IS MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. WHAT WE DO WITH OUR PERSON IS WE FIND FACTS ON THE INTENET AND IN OUR BOOKS.THEN, WE GOT OUR TOM SAWYER BOOKS AND WE HAD A WORK SHEET ABOUT IT. NEXT, WE WENT TO THE LIBRARY AND IT WAS SO FUN BECAUSE WE TALKED ABOUT OUR BOOKS.

AFTER THE LIBRARY, IT WAS TIME FOR RECESS. WHEN WE CAME BACK FROM RECESS, WENT BACK TO READING THE TOM SAYWER BOOK. THEN, WE WENT TO MATH.

Growth Mindset- Biography Research

We chose a famous person and we are researching to understand our persons life and how the have a growth mindset. We are using Who was... chapter books and also our chromebooks for the research.

Math
This is what we did in math class today. First, we did our warm-up, that was split into two parts: Problem of the Day and Common Core Quick Check. I couldn't hear everybody, but some people said the warm-up was easy as soon as they saw it. After that, we corrected the easy warm-up. Then, we corrected our homework. We corrected the normal My Homework, but then corrected the new multiplication review. the questions were written weirdly, so a lot of people got it wrong. Next, we started Lesson 10 in our Math books. It was about when you're dividing, and when the dividend doesn't fit into the first digit of the dividend. Our teacher told us to finish the first page and it would be okay if we didn't finish the second page. After that, we went to lunch. When we came back, we worked on our Performance Task. It's basically a set of problems that are all connected, meaning if you get one wrong, you get the others wrong, and very hard and long. My table almost finished it. Then we switched to homeroom. That's what we did in math class today.

Math
Today, we first did our warm up, which today included our Common Core Quick Check. After that, we corrected our homework from last night. A few of the questions were tricky, so quite a few people got them wrong. Ms.Booth told us that if we didn't CUBE it, we would get half credit, which is an F. We got to work on lesson 8 in our workbooks. On some of the division problems, we had to estimate, just like in lesson 7. By that time, it was lunch. When we got back, we got to work on our first performance task. We worked in table groups to solve the parts(A-E). That was our math class for October 3rd, 2017.

Next we took out our Character Relationships and went to camp life , we read and underlined half of camp life . We also did a worksheet on it .We went to recess after when we came  back we picked our people we are  going to do a report on . It was random from dojo .When we chose our people Ms. Booth the teacher handed books about our character. At the end of language we packed up our math stuff and switched.

Math
Hi, today I will be telling you about what we did for math on 10/2/17. First, Ms. Booth told us to sit down and work on our warm up. It was tricky, but we all got it right. Then, we took out our agendas and started writing our homework down. When we got done with that, we started to correct our warm-up. After that, she told us to take out our math-books and turn to Lesson 7.The lesson was about the Distributive Property of Division and partial quotients. I was good with the Distributive Property of Division.  I was good with the Distributive Property, but I found the partial quotients tricky. That is what we did in math class.

Language Arts
Today in Language Arts class, we learned about a Growth Mindset.  A Growth Mindset is basically someone whose skills can be developed through challenges.  A person with a Fixed Mindset is somebody who does not think that if they are born with a skill they cannot be good at the task.
We have also been introduced to a new project.  What this is, is there are 13 people who represent different categories.  For example, Abraham Lincoln represents Politics.  After we have write a paragraph describing the individual from a category that we choose.
Our final project is we were assigned stories by tables.  My table was selected to work on "Robin Hood Saves Will Stutely".  After our table read the assigned story, we split each section among ourselves.  We then were responsible for writing a summary for our own section of the tale.

Sincerely,
Jeff
