Colonial Day

Colonial Day

Parents We Need Your Help!

Our annual Colonial Day is coming to Haynes on Thursday, February 7th! Colonial Day is an all-day celebration of the colonial period in American history. Students will participate in hands-on explorations of colonial technology and arts and crafts, including quill calligraphy, tinsmith design, corn husk doll making, weaving, and butter churning. Our Colonial Band will perform colonial music, and all of our students will dance the Virginia Reel. Students look forward to this event all year!

Parents we need your help! We sent an email out a few weeks ago asking for a Colonial Day Coordinator and did not get any response back. There is a lot of preparation and organization that needs to happen for this event. We need parents to make/purchase items as well as volunteer on Colonial Day. If we don't get enough parent help we will have to cancel this event.

Please click on the link and sign up to make/purchase needed items and also to volunteer.
