5th Grade Year End Details:
5th Grade vs. Staff Softball Game - Monday, 6/4/18 @ 8:30am- 5th graders may bring baseball gloves (clearly marked with child's name) to use during the game. Snack items will be available for purchase for $1.00 the morning of the game. Go 5th graders...I mean Ms. Booth and Mrs. Isensee.., either way GO 5th GRADE!!
5th Grade Parent Sponsored Swim Party – Tuesday, 6/5/18 3:00-6:00 p.m. – At Calabasas Swim and Tennis Club – please see the flyers sent home by the room parents.
5th Grade Culmination Ceremony - Wednesday, 6/6/17 - Culmination begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.
Event Reminders:
- Students may report to school by 8:00 a.m. but no later than 10 a.m., dressed and ready for Culmination.
- Each family will be given TWO Assigned Seating Tickets to Culmination.
- These tickets will be assigned to the side of the auditorium your child is standing in during the ceremony.
- Additional seats will be available once the two tickets per child are distributed (about 50 seats).
- These seats will be given out on a, FIRST in LINE, FIRST SEATING policy ONLY!
- There will be two lines outside the auditorium before Culmination begins.
-One line will be for assigned ticket holders.
-A second line will be for additional family/friends – FIRST in LINE, FIRST SEATING policy.
- Standing in the back of the auditorium will be allowed at the discretion of the school staff, keeping in mind safety policies and common courtesy.
- In regards to small children, lap seating is allowed for any child under two years old. -Children over two years old will require their own seat or to stand with a guardian in the back of the auditorium.
- Please do not bring balloons into the auditorium as they block the view of others in the auditorium.
- Please be mindful of others when video taping or taking photographs by not blocking the view of others in the auditorium
- Culmination dress code:
- Dresses: Dresses should be of a youthful nature. No strapless or halter dresses without a garment to cover your shoulders. (Jacket, shawl, etc.)
- Shoes: Students must be able to walk up stairs and stand for a length of time safely in their dress shoes.
- Shirts/Pants: Slacks with a collared shirt are suggested. Ties and jackets are optional.
- The ceremony will begin at 10:30am and will last a little more than an hour. Immediately following Culmination, Haynes CES staff invites you to join the culminating class at the outdoor Pavilion for cake! You may take your student home after the ceremony.
