Language Arts
In language we were coming in and getting ready for the day. Then, we opened “The U.S. constitution, Then and Now. “  We were annotating a few paragraphs. Next, we took out our notebook and wrote short vowels. We found short vowels in our book and we wrote it in our note book. After that, we were talking and writing about closed syllables and then found the short vowel. Then, we made a chart about short vowels and we had words on the board for whichever one we thought was right. Ms. Booth corrected it together with us as a class.

After that we turned to page H in the book and wrote a few things. We then went to the grammar work shop book. We are learning about simple and complete subjects and predicates. Then, we went to snack. When we came back we talked about a letter to our parents from the Mediterranean Coast. We were writing about what we see in the ocean during the ship wreck. That was the end of language arts. I think we had a pretty good day.

Math
Today was our sixth day of math class, August 28, 2017. The first thing we did in class was discuss and write our homework. We always write our homework for the whole week on Monday, in our agenda, so we wouldn't have to worry about writing everyday. After that, we worked on lesson 5 in our math book. The lesson was based on decimals, fractions, place value, and how to use models to show a decimal. We also did lesson 6 in our math book. Lesson 6 was about how to turn decimals into expanded form and many more. We did an independent practice page, and there were problems that involved writing the value of a place in a decimal. After all the work, math class was about to end. But first, Ms. Booth passed out our graded homework from the week before, and our graded quiz we did on Friday. That is what we did, on our sixth day of math class.
