Language Arts
Today when we first went into the classroom we started reading our own book for about 15 minutes.  Then after reading we corrected the homework and turned it in.  We also worked on the the Grammar Workshop book under lesson 2 about Mayan- Complete Subjects and Complete Predicates.  We worked together on practice a little bit and then finished practice individually rest of them.  Next, we read an article  "President Lyndon B. Johnson's Voting Right Act Address" and we took a note about the article.  That was today's work in Language Art.

Math
Today we started off with problem of the day. It was really easy. Todays concept was Lesson 4 Represent Decimals. We got into the thousandth place. We shaded the boxes and then we had to write the fraction in word form and as a decimal. For homework we have page 33 through 36. After lunch we corrected our work and then used Pickers. The questions where very easy for some people and some didn’t get it.
1 thirty-nine hundredths in standard form
2 0.073 in word form
3 0.07 in word form
4 2/10 as a decimal
5 56/100 as a decimal

6 3/1,000 as a decimal
